Kids Bike Parade

I love the 24th and it is one of the few Holidays where we get to just kick back and hang out at home. Over the last 4 years we have had a tradition of BBQing and doing fireworks in our Cul-de-sac. It's open invitation and always fun to see who comes. This year I decided to go a little further and host a kids bike parade. All the neighborhood kids decorated thier bikes, scooters or whatever and rode there bikes up and down the street for all the parents and neighbors to watch. Mike rode his scooter to lead the way with our bubble machine attached to the back blowing tons of bubbles at the kids. After a couple loops we passed out glow stick, snaps and otter pops while the neighborhood visited and the kids played. It was my kid of parade, I knew who to call out to and got to cheer for people who actually recognized me. I intend to make it a yearly tradition.
